We are seeking a talented Python Quant Developer to join our client's dynamic technology-driven team in Hong Kong. You will contribute directly to the design, development, and maintenance of core platforms that enable high-performance electronic and algorithmic trading across global markets.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with quantitative researchers and traders, helping to roll out, support, and optimise quantitative trading strategies. You will work on mission-critical components of our trading infrastructure, including backtesting systems, real-time trading frameworks, and data management solutions. Leveraging modern tools and frameworks, you will build scalable and robust software that meets the high standards demanded by financial markets.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain key components of algorithmic trading systems and infrastructure
- Collaborate with quants and traders to support the implementation and operation of trading strategies
- Contribute to the development of scalable and efficient backtesting and data pipelines
- Design software with clean and modular architecture using state-of-the-art tools and development practices
- Continuously evaluate and experiment with new technologies to improve system performance and stability
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2–10 years of professional experience in software development
- Advanced programming skills, with strong expertise in Python
- Excellent understanding of software engineering principles and code quality standards
- Experience with real-time, high-performance systems or quantitative finance applications is a plus
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Experience with additional languages such as C++ or C# is advantageous
