Risk & Audit Manager

Our private investment firm client is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Risk & Audit Manager with at least 6 years of experience in a Big 4 accounting firm.

• Design and implement risk management policies and control frameworks for collections, payments, and remittance processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage transaction processing, deposit handling, and remittance operations with a strong focus on risk mitigation and control effectiveness.
• Execute and lead audits across treasury, remittance and compliance (AML/CFT, sanctions screening & KYC) delivering results within set timelines.
• Contributed to the development and continuous improvement of internal policies, ensuring regulatory alignment across major jurisdictions.
• Led RCSAs, KRI and control testing exercises with business and functional teams.
• Ensure business decisions adhered to internal policies and external regulations, balancing commercial priorities with compliance obligations.
• Ensure timely escalation and resolution of control deficiencies, with accountability for both corrective, preventive and detective measures.
• Apply data analytics to support audit and risk assessment activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Background in Big 4 audit or Commercial Finance / Treasury preferred.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Familiarity with NetSuite and/or AutoCount systems.
• Min 6 years of experience in risk management and/or internal audit, with deep functional expertise in finance operations (e.g., AP/AR, month- and year-end close, statutory reporting, GL accounting), treasury and cash management.
• Demonstrated success in establishing robust control environments and ensuring compliance in high-risk operations.
• Experience in finance process optimization, including automation, policy maintenance, and ERP improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, effective communicator, and capable project manager.
