The primary responsibility of this role is to proactively acquire new-to-bank (NTB) customers with potential for Premier Banking relationships. The successful candidate will offer a comprehensive suite of retail and premier banking products, including but not limited to unsecured credit cards and insurance solutions tailored to the specific needs of the targeted customer segments.
As part of the sales and acquisition team, the individual will be expected to engage affluent and mass market clients through various lead channels such as internal referrals, marketing campaigns, mortgage inquiries, employee banking programmes, networking events, and roadshows. The role also demands active participation in off-office hour activities, including weekends, to maximise customer engagement and conversion opportunities via promotional campaigns and outreach events.
In addition to acquiring new clients, the successful applicant will be expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge on market trends and competitor offerings. This includes providing regular feedback and insight to key stakeholders to strengthen product offerings and ensure continued competitiveness in the market. Demonstrating professionalism and resilience, the individual will also conduct effective follow-up activities with prospects to build trust and credibility with a long-term relationship focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire new-to-bank customers notably from offshore and Premier Banking segments.
- Promote and sell financial products and services, including credit cards, insurance, and retail banking solutions.
- Leverage a variety of lead sources including internal referrals, roadshows, and marketing events.
- Participate in weekend and evening events to maximise customer engagement opportunities.
- Identify client needs and provide suitable financial advice and solutions to meet those needs.
- Maintain awareness of market competition and industry developments; provide feedback to relevant teams for strategic planning.
- Establish strong rapport with prospective clients, offering a holistic banking experience and fostering long-term relationships.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in client acquisition within the banking industry, preferably in Premier or retail banking.
- Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of discipline and independence.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in conducting sales through both face-to-face and remote channels (e.g., phone, video calls).
- Strong understanding of financial products and services relevant to affluent and mass market clients.
- Resilient with a results-oriented mindset and capable of achieving targets in a fast-paced environment.
