We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function in Singapore. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient sourcing and purchasing practices, managing supplier relationships, and delivering cost-effective procurement strategies that align with our business objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full procurement lifecycle, including supplier selection, negotiation of contracts, risk management, and performance evaluation to ensure value for money and compliance with company policies and regulations. The role also entails collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to understand material requirements and to forecast procurement needs accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and develop relationships to foster reliable partnerships.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and service level agreements with suppliers.
- Ensure procurement activities are cost-effective, timely, and conducted with integrity.
- Monitor market trends and competitor strategies to inform procurement decisions.
- Manage procurement budgets and prepare regular reports on performance and cost savings.
- Lead initiatives to streamline procurement processes and systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, supply chain methodologies, and contract management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed procurement decisions.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Detail-oriented, with strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements in Singapore.
