Our client is seeking a highly experienced Offshore Insurance Specialist to join their dynamic team based in Singapore. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage and support a diverse portfolio of offshore insurance solutions tailored to high-net-worth clients, multinational businesses, and expatriates. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering bespoke insurance strategies across various jurisdictions, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of offshore insurance products, including life, health, property, and marine insurance, along with tax-efficient investment-linked solutions. You will be responsible for conducting client needs analyses, recommending suitable policies, and liaising with offshore insurance providers to negotiate competitive terms and maintain long-term client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on offshore insurance options suited to their individual or corporate needs
- Develop and maintain a strong network of offshore insurers and reinsurers
- Stay abreast of industry regulations in multiple offshore jurisdictions to ensure ongoing compliance
- Identify opportunities for cross-border risk management and financial planning
- Prepare policy documentation, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to international financial regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience in offshore insurance advisory or brokerage, ideally within an international financial services environment
- Strong knowledge of international insurance markets and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Professional qualification in insurance, risk management, or financial services (e.g., CII, ACII, or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple client portfolios simultaneously
- Proficiency in financial planning, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
