Overview
We are seeking a senior finance leader to drive regional Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for a General Insurance business. Based in Central Singapore, you will partner with executive stakeholders to deliver high-quality planning, forecasting, performance reporting and decision support across multiple markets and product lines. Salary: SGD $220,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional FP&A, including annual budget, rolling forecasts, multi-year plans and scenario modelling.
- Own performance management: monthly management reporting, variance analysis, insights and actionable recommendations.
- Partner with underwriting, claims, reinsurance, actuarial, distribution and operations to improve profitability and capital efficiency.
- Monitor key GI metrics (e.g., GWP, NWP, loss ratio, expense ratio, combined ratio) and explain drivers by line of business and geography.
- Support pricing, portfolio steering and reinsurance strategy through analytical support and business cases.
- Oversee expense management, headcount planning and cost allocation methodologies.
- Develop and enhance FP&A processes, controls and reporting automation within finance systems and BI tools.
- Lead and mentor a regional FP&A team; set standards for quality, timelines and stakeholder service.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline; professional qualification (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) strongly preferred.
- Significant FP&A and commercial finance leadership experience within General Insurance (P&C), ideally in a regional or multi-market role.
- Strong understanding of insurance financials, reserving concepts, reinsurance, and regulatory reporting considerations.
- Advanced financial modelling skills; high proficiency in Excel and experience with planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Oracle EPM, SAP, Workday Adaptive) and BI (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and communicate complex topics clearly.
- Strong governance mindset with experience improving controls, documentation and audit readiness.
- People leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent written and spoken English; able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrix environment.
Location & Working Arrangement
Singapore, Central Singapore, Singapore. Travel within the region may be required periodically.
