EV Reporting, Assistant Manager

Location: Kuala Lumpur, W.P. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Summary

Responsible for Embedded Value (EV) business forecasting, cash flow projections, earnings analysis and Group reporting. You will support timely production of EV/EEV results, provide insightful commentary on performance, and help strengthen actuarial reporting controls and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform actuarial data maintenance and generate model points to support EV movement analysis.
• Produce monthly reporting of EV-related financial KPIs with clear, detailed commentary and variance analysis.
• Support quarterly EV/EEV reporting and provide relevant analytical insights for stakeholders.
• Contribute to annual business planning, scenario analysis and stress testing exercises, including documentation of assumptions and outcomes.
• Deliver cash flow projections, earnings analysis and related management information for Group reporting purposes.
• Maintain robust documentation, governance and controls within your area of responsibility, ensuring auditability and repeatability.
• Enhance actuarial reporting processes to improve accuracy, control and efficiency (including automation where appropriate).
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Risk, Valuation and other actuarial teams to ensure smooth and efficient reporting production.
• Provide peer review support and guidance to junior staff, promoting high quality standards and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in special projects related to financial management and valuation process transformation.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant actuarial experience, ideally within life insurance reporting, valuation or financial management.
• Degree in Actuarial Science, STEM, Business or Finance.
• Good progress in actuarial examinations (part-qualified or equivalent progress expected).
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
• Ability to translate complex actuarial concepts for a wide audience, including non-actuarial stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, well-organised and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
• Experience with Prophet models and data tools such as SQL/DCS is advantageous.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
