Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join their Offshore Premier Banking team in Singapore. This is a client-facing role that requires a proactive and driven individual capable of representing a comprehensive suite of retail and premier banking products. These offerings include but are not limited to unsecured credit cards and insurance solutions tailored to the financial objectives of targeted customer segments across the offshore market.

The role requires strong business development acumen, relationship management skills, and a goal-oriented approach to acquire high-value clients and maintain competitiveness in a dynamic market environment. Candidates should be comfortable engaging with both affluent and mass market customers across multiple acquisition channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively engage and onboard new affluent and mass market clients through various lead sources such as marketing campaigns, internal referrals, mortgage enquiries, employee banking events, networking sessions and roadshows.
  • Promote and recommend Premier Banking services and bundled solutions that meet the unique needs of offshore clients.
  • Participate in off-office hour activities, including evenings and weekends, for promotional campaigns, client events and roadshows as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor offerings and customer needs to support differentiation of products and services.
  • Implement consistent follow-up strategies to convert leads into successful client relationships and ensure continuous engagement.
  • Support sales efforts through both face-to-face and digital engagement channels.

Requirements:

  • Preferably at least 2 years of client acquisition experience within the banking industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities in a competitive environment.
  • Highly self-disciplined, results-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Comfortable conducting sales and marketing activities through both face-to-face and non-face-to-face channels such as phone calls, online meetings or digital platforms.
