We are currently seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client's dynamic finance team based in Central Singapore. The successful candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage complex financial reporting processes in compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing general ledger functions, managing month-end and year-end close activities, preparing accurate financial reports, and supporting external audits. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards (e.g. IFRS)
- Manage fixed assets, accruals, and reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Support budget planning and forecasting activities
- Coordinate with auditors for statutory audits and ensure accurate documentation
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
- Lead process improvements and contribute to financial system enhancements
- Provide insights based on financial data to support strategic decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CA, CPA) is essential
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in financial accounting or audit, preferably in a senior role
- Thorough knowledge of accounting regulations and standards (e.g. IFRS, local GAAP)
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
