We are seeking a motivated and analytical individual to join our software implementation team as a Junior Actuarial Modeller. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading software company that provides cutting-edge modelling solutions for the insurance industry. Based in Singapore, this role offers a competitive annual salary of SGD 80,000 and the chance to grow your career in a dynamic and innovative environment.

As a Junior Actuarial Modeller, you will support clients in the successful implementation and configuration of our actuarial modelling software. You will be part of a highly collaborative team working closely with insurance companies to understand their modelling requirements and translate business needs into robust technical solutions. You will contribute to model development, testing and validation, and provide ongoing support to ensure the optimal use of our software tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation and customisation of actuarial modelling software for insurance clients.
  • Analyse existing actuarial models and help translate them into the company’s software environment.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to define modelling requirements.
  • Support testing, validation and documentation of models to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients.
  • Stay up to date with industry regulations and modelling best practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline.
  • Progress towards actuarial qualifications with a recognised actuarial body (e.g. IFoA, SOA).
  • Strong understanding of actuarial principles and insurance products, particularly in the life or general insurance domain.
  • Familiarity with actuarial modelling techniques and software, such as Prophet, MoSes, or RiskAgility, is a plus.
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, R, VBA or SQL is desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and client-focused environment.
