Middle Office Manager
The Middle Office Manager oversees the execution, reconciliation, and reporting of daily P&L, ensuring accurate valuation and risk management of financial instruments. Role Overview
The Middle Office Manager will lead the day-to-day activities related to trading balance sheet validation, trade reconciliation, and valuation control. Acting as a primary escalation point, the role involves partnering with traders and stakeholders to address risk and operational issues. Success is measured by maintaining accurate trade reporting, driving automation initiatives, and supporting the team in delivering precise financial analysis.
Key Skills & Experience
- Lead execution and reporting of daily P&L and trading position valuation.
- Manage reconciliation procedures between trades, clearers, and brokers.
- Drive valuation control and risk identification across financial products.
- Apply knowledge of financial products and accounting standards for valuation and reporting.
- Partner with traders and stakeholders to ensure valuation verification for new activities.
- Manage technology and automation projects within product control.
- Demonstrate understanding of trading strategies and financial instruments.
- Possess at least 5 years’ experience in Product Control or related roles within trading or banking.
- Hold a Singapore Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent.
- Have supplementary qualifications in Financial Instruments, Risk Management, CFA, or similar.
- Demonstrate expertise in derivatives, risk management, and accounting standards for financial instruments.
- Show strong data analysis skills using Excel, VBA, BI tools, SQL, and Python.
- Experience managing small teams in high-performance environments.
- Detail-oriented with operational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive automation initiatives.

- Experience working within a hybrid environment.
- Knowledge of on-site operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily P&L reporting and trading balance sheet validation.
- Reconcile trades against clearers and brokers, investigating breaks.
- Lead valuation control activities, managing emerging risks.
- Collaborate with traders to verify valuation consistency in new business activities.
- Drive automation and technology enhancement projects.
- Act as escalation point for internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with technology teams to implement tools for operational improvement.
Requirements
- Singapore or international Chartered Accountant qualification.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Product Control or related functions within a trading firm or bank.
- Right to work in Singapore.
- Location: On-site in Singapore, with hybrid work environment.
- Available for an assignment starting on 12/08/2026, lasting approximately 2 weeks.
