We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated LLM Engineer with expertise in Python and R to join our on-site team in Central Singapore. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that apply artificial intelligence and machine learning within the field of software engineering. You will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing AI-driven tools to improve code quality, automate remediation, and support efficient software development processes.
In this role, you will conduct applied research in integrating LLM techniques with software engineering practices, focusing on automated code generation, program synthesis, and software testing. You will have hands-on responsibility for designing and implementing experimental prototypes, training and fine-tuning commercial and open-source LLMs, and preparing large-scale datasets for model training. Collaborating closely with other engineers and product managers, you will translate research findings into practical, high-performance applications integrated into our development pipeline.
To succeed in this role, you must have a master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of three years of experience as an ML/AI/LLM Engineer or AI Scientist working within a software engineering context. You must demonstrate a strong research background in AI, ML, and software engineering, with proven expertise in using tools such as GPT-4 or Bedrock. Proficiency in Python and R is essential, along with experience in developing pipelines for diverse datasets, debugging and optimising performance, and implementing research-based solutions in production environments.
An ideal candidate will have experience developing or using AI/ML frameworks that enhance the software development lifecycle. Familiarity with DevOps practices, reinforcement learning algorithms, AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, or ECS, and static analysis tools will be considered advantageous. Additionally, the ability to publish research or contribute to scientific communities is a valuable asset.
We foster a vibrant, supportive, and inclusive workplace culture rooted in respect, collaboration, and continual learning. While this position is primarily on-site, we support flexible working arrangements to encourage a sustainable work-life balance. Our work environment embraces innovation and values the contributions of each team member, promoting equal opportunities and inclusion regardless of gender, ethnicity, or background.
