We are seeking a skilled React Native Developer to join our client's team in Singapore. As a React Native Developer, you will be responsible for building performant mobile apps for both iOS and Android platforms using React Native. Your understanding of native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development will be a valuable asset, enabling deeper platform customisation when necessary. A strong focus on code quality, testability, and performance will be essential, and you'll contribute significantly to the success of various product features and initiatives.
Role Responsibilities:- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver new and improved features
- Implement and maintain high-quality, scalable, and maintainable mobile code using React Native
- Provide technical input and feedback on designs, requirements, and development approaches
- Integrate with native APIs and write native modules as needed for deeper system access
- Ensure code quality and consistency through writing unit and end-to-end tests
- Participate in regular team meetings and engineering discussions to share insights and contribute to continuous improvement
- Work in an agile environment with short release cycles
- Engage in code reviews and mentor junior members of the team
- At least 2 years of full-time experience in React Native development
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript and experience with the React Native framework
- Hands-on experience with native iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin) development
- Understanding of native bridging and the capability to interface React Native with custom native modules
- Experience in writing and maintaining unit tests and end-to-end tests
- Proficiency in version control tools, particularly Git, and familiarity with Git branching models (e.g. Git-flow, Trunk-Based Development)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team-based environment
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality user experiences
