About the Role
A leading financial services group is seeking a dynamic and experienced finance professional to join its leadership team as Vice President, Business Finance & Cost Management. This is a high-impact role that combines operational excellence with strategic cost leadership, offering the opportunity to shape financial processes and drive efficiency across a growing organization.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will oversee core finance operations, lead cost optimization initiatives, and manage intercompany billing processes. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about continuous improvement and innovation in finance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Operations & Reporting
- Lead day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable/receivable, GST compliance, and cash disbursements.
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reports for senior management and shareholders.
- Drive finance-related projects such as system migrations and e-invoicing implementation.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support strategic initiatives and respond to ad hoc stakeholder requests.
2. Strategic Cost Management
- Act as the subject matter expert on cost management across the organization.
- Lead cost budgeting and multi-year forecasting.
- Develop and implement cost control strategies and dashboards.
- Partner with business units to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance efficiency.
- Provide financial analysis to support pricing, planning, and investment decisions.
3. Intercompany Billing & Recharges
- Oversee intercompany billing processes with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Streamline workflows and enhance transparency in intercompany transactions.
4. Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, including offshore support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Technology, Legal, and Compliance.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Accountancy with Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification.
- 15+ years of experience in financial reporting and operations.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS), GST, and financial products.
- Proven experience in cost management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with transfer pricing, cost allocation, and service company operations.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing external service providers and offshore teams.
- A proactive leader with a strong sense of ownership and a continuous improvement mindset.
