To provide payroll support across the APAC region and to ensure that the payroll functions for Singapore, Australia and affiliates across the Asia Pacific region are processed accurately and within the designated timeframe. Including any changes to the payroll can be supported by the requisite paperwork and approvals.
 

Act as the main POC for APAC payroll matters, providing guidance to the APAC HR Department and provide a proactive and efficient payroll service to Finance, APAC Senior Management and Regional Managing Directors.

 

  • Processing the payroll for Singapore and Australia, including Prepare Annual Singapore tax filings and assist in the Australia tax filings
  • Manage and review the payroll function for the Singapore office and affiliates across the Asia Pacific region
  • Work closely with other APAC departments to collate monthly payroll information including new joiners, leavers, salary increase, bonus and commission payments etc.
  • Review payrolls in order to process payments accurately and within given timeframes and liaise with Headquarters Payroll team to release monthly payrolls
  • Be involved in the set-up and implementation of the new entities and completing the necessary on-boarding duties.
  • Provide oversight, support and guidance to HR team members and processing the monthly payroll for other affiliates across the Asia Pacific region
  • Manage and liaise with vendors on the monthly payroll processing and statutory contributions.
  • Reconciling Australian annual leave and monthly/annual pension contributions.
  • Prepare the funding report for Senior Management and other departments and coordinate with regional office on all funding matters.
  • Work closely with all levels of staff for any payroll and tax clarifications and queries whenever required.
  • Work closely with Finance team on a monthly basis to provide data for monthly reporting.
  • Provide consultation on tax matters or any statutory deductions for respective countries.
  • Prepare monthly reports, for example, Payroll Report, Journal report, Headcount report, and Regional Total Payments Report on the information of the inter-company payments.
  • Work with government organizations for respective regions and performing monthly submissions to accordingly.
  • Proactively identifying potential opportunities to enhance payroll processes and contributing creatives solutions and ideas.

 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business or other relevant degree
  • Min 6 years of payroll experience (preferably within Financial Services) with 3 years of regional payroll exposure
  • Full understanding of Singapore payroll and tax reporting/filing requirements
  • Experience in using HR/Payroll databases
  • Oracle HCM and BIPO Payroll systems experience would be an advantage
  • Capable of managing tight deadlines and effectively prioritising tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work independently and not require day-to-day support
