Valuation Manager
The Valuation Manager joins our client’s Life and Health Valuation team in Singapore, overseeing valuation, reserving, and regulatory reporting for the Life and Health business of the organisation’s Singapore branch. The role requires leading a team to ensure compliance with local and global valuation standards.

Role Overview
The Valuation Manager reports to the Head of Munich Re Singapore’s Valuation team. You will lead quarterly and annual IFRS and RBC2 reporting, propose MAS assumptions, and perform stress testing and capital planning for the Singapore branch. Your responsibilities include supporting valuation enhancement projects and collaborating closely with external teams during reporting cycles.
Key Skills & Experience
- Lead and guide a team to ensure timely and accurate valuation results
- Manage quarterly and annual local IFRS reporting for Singapore
- Oversee quarterly and annual RBC2 reporting for Singapore
- Propose MAS assumptions (e.g., PAD and expense) for Singapore business
- Perform MAS Stress Test, ORSA, and Capital Planning
- Support valuation process improvements and enhancements
- Work collaboratively with external teams during reporting periods
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
- Has at least 5 to 8 years of valuation experience
- Has experience in MAS reporting
- Qualified Actuary (newly qualified are welcome to apply)
- Proficient in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), VBA, SQL and database management systems
- Knowledge of IFRS17 standards, FinRe business and/or AXIS would be an advantage
