Our client is seeking driven and passionate Security Operations Center (SOC) Analysts, based in Singapore, to join their remote team. You will be responsible for detecting, triaging and responding to cyber security incidents using a bespoke SIEM solution. This will include reviewing client communications for phishing indicators, supporting incident investigations and conducting deeper analysis for high-severity alerts.
You will engage in a variety of activities such as incident response, forensic analysis, client communication, and security engineering. As a member of our global SOC team, you’ll contribute to improving detection logic and building out team documentation. This is a dynamic role offering exposure to real-world incidents and a fast-paced learning environment with training and support from day one.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor and triage security alerts via email gateway and SIEM tools.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of high-priority incidents and escalate appropriately.
- Collaborate with clients to resolve security incidents and answer support requests.
- Assist in documentation, improving heuristics and building detection capabilities.
- Support and conduct incident response operations and root cause analysis.
- Manage and contribute to a variety of internal and external cyber/IT projects.
Requirements
- First-class degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.
- 1+ years of experience in blue team operations or other cyber-focused roles.
- Strong technical understanding of operating systems, networking, cloud technology, scripting and security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A proactive attitude with a passion for self-improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Adaptability in handling multiple priorities and commitments.
- Confidence to lead internal and client-facing conversations.
