Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Enterprise Architect to lead the architecture function for the APAC region, driving the design and implementation of scalable insurance solutions across both life and general insurance markets. This strategic and hands-on role requires deep technical expertise, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a keen understanding of the insurance landscape across APAC. You will be responsible for defining architectural strategies, aligning with global standards, and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of complex technology initiatives across multiple markets.
As a leader, you will mentor a regional team of architects and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that architectural decisions support business goals, accelerate innovation and maintain technical integrity across all initiatives. The role demands strong leadership capabilities, business acumen, and the ability to translate technical solutions into tangible business value.
Key Responsibilities- Define and drive regional architecture strategy and technology roadmaps aligned with global principles.
- Lead the design and governance of enterprise-wide architecture covering cloud, APIs, data, platforms, and security.
- Inspire, mentor and manage a high-performing architecture team across multiple geographies.
- Engage with senior business and technology stakeholders to align on architectural priorities and decisions.
- Promote enterprise architecture governance frameworks, standards and reference models.
- Collaborate globally to ensure consistent architecture patterns, reuse, and technology alignment.
- Provide architectural guidance through the full project lifecycle including post-implementation reviews.
- Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to inform long-term strategy.
- Act as a subject matter expert for architecture in regional IT projects and strategic planning.
- Strategic thinking with a robust commercial and technical understanding of insurance processes in APAC.

- Minimum 15 years in senior architecture roles, with at least 10 years regional or global experience.
- Extensive experience in insurance or financial services, with strong exposure to regulations, products, and delivery environments.
- Expertise in Java, .NET, Kubernetes, Kafka and event/API-driven architectures across on-premise and cloud.
- Knowledge of microservices, automation, AI, data platforms, and real-time processing architectures.
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks, governance models, DevOps, and integration standards.
- Proven ability to liaise across global architecture, development, operations, and executive stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
