Overview
The Product Manager supports the Investment-Linked Product (ILP) Lead in the end-to-end development and management of life insurance products and propositions, from ideation through launch. This role blends customer-centric product design, market insight, commercial thinking, and strong execution to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives. You will work cross-functionally with distribution, marketing, operations, actuarial, compliance, underwriting, technology, legal, risk and external partners to enable timely launches with strong governance, operational readiness and sales enablement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver priority product initiatives from concept to launch, driving day-to-day execution of product deliverables.
- Manage product design specifications, stakeholder alignment, and coordination of pricing and features, including benchmarking.
- Develop documentation and ensure broader launch readiness in partnership with project management and key functions.
- Enhance product positioning and proposition using distribution and customer insights, feedback loops, and competitor comparisons.
- Recommend targeted product enhancements that improve customer value and commercial outcomes.
- Manage product development initiatives in line with MAS/LIA requirements and internal governance and policies.
- Provide responsive product support to distribution and internal stakeholders, including issue resolution and clarifications.
- Identify opportunities to improve ways of working, including the use of AI-enabled solutions where appropriate.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in life insurance product development/management or a closely related role.
- Preferably strong ILP knowledge, with awareness of customer needs and market dynamics.
- Commercial and analytical capability, including product positioning and benchmarking.
- Good understanding of the end-to-end product development lifecycle (ideation, governance, regulatory requirements and launch execution).
- Degree in Business, Actuarial Studies or a related discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident stakeholder management across diverse teams.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused with an innovation and problem-solving mindset.
