Insurance Transformation BA

Our client is a leading insurance organization committed to innovation and excellence. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated team supporting life insurance clients through complex transformation projects, including portfolio migrations and platform renewals, with a focus on delivering pragmatic solutions that make a difference.

Role Overview:

This position is integral to the insurance transformation team, working closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges and implement effective, end-to-end solutions. The Business Analyst will support transformation initiatives across portfolios, processes, products, and technology platforms, ensuring successful project delivery and continuous improvement within the life insurance domain.

Key Skills & Experience:

• HW Business Analyst experience

• Minimum 6 years’ consulting or insurance industry experience, particularly in life insurance

• Strong understanding of the Singapore life insurance market, distribution channels, products, and systems

• Experience with digital transformation and impact of key technology platforms

• Analytical and conceptual thinking with a pragmatic, delivery-oriented approach

• Outstanding stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills

• Ability to work with autonomy while contributing effectively within a team

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with client stakeholders to define business needs, scope, success measures, and delivery plans for transformation initiatives

• Support portfolio migrations and core platform renewal projects throughout all project phases

• Elicit, analyse, and document business and functional requirements, user stories, and process maps

• Assess current processes and systems, identifying gaps and opportunities for automation and simplification

• Support product and distribution change initiatives impacting policy administration, customer journeys, underwriting, claims, and reporting

• Contribute to the development of reusable life insurance solutions, including migration approaches and automation assets

• Share industry knowledge with colleagues and build a strong network within the Singapore life insurance sector

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience

• At least 6 years’ experience in consulting or within an insurance company or broker firm

• Proven expertise in life insurance with strong domain knowledge

• Good understanding of the Singapore life insurance market, distribution channels, and processes

• Experience supporting digital transformation projects and familiarity with relevant technology platforms

• Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, multi-workstream environments

Nice to Have:

• Experience supporting programme governance, RAID management, and business readiness activities

• Exposure to Agile delivery practices and product ownership roles
