Funds Specialist

Role Overview:
The Funds Specialist will serve as a key resource within the investment team, supporting fund distribution initiatives and providing expert advice to private bankers, relationship managers, and investment consultants. The role is vital in promoting fund products, enhancing client interactions, and contributing to the organisation’s fund offering growth.
Key Skills & Experience:
• 10–15 years of experience in fund sales, fund distribution, or fund selection within a private banking environment
• Deep knowledge of public market funds across various asset classes; familiarity with alternatives or structured products is advantageous
• Proven track record of developing strong internal stakeholder relationships and meeting sales targets
• Strong understanding of fund operations, documentation standards, and governance processes
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident in engaging with senior investment professionals
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; CFA, CAIA, or similar qualification is a plus
• Fluency in both English and Chinese to communicate effectively with stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
• Support and promote in-house and public market funds to private bankers, EAMs, and family offices using a consultative approach
• Act as a senior point of contact for fund selection, portfolio positioning, and asset allocation discussions
• Deliver product training, market commentary, and presentation materials to relationship managers and investment consultants
• Monitor market trends and competitor products, providing insights for product development and launches
• Assist in developing marketing materials such as pitchbooks and factsheets in collaboration with internal teams
• Coordinate fund-related administration and ensure smooth operations with compliance and legal teams
Requirements:
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in fund sales/distribution or selection, ideally within private banking
• Extensive knowledge of public market funds; exposure to alternatives or structured products is a plus
• Proven ability to build and maintain internal stakeholder relationships and achieve sales targets
• Strong understanding of fund operations, documentation, and governance standards
• Self-motivated, commercially driven, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident in engaging high-level professionals
• Bachelor's degree or above in relevant disciplines; professional qualifications such as CFA or CAIA are advantageous
• Fluency in English and Chinese is required
