Finance Executive

The role involves managing day-to-day financial operations within an MGA framework, supporting regulatory reporting, overseeing premium and claims bordereaux, managing cash allocations, and ensuring compliance with financial controls and audit standards. Additionally, you will handle end-to-end claims management, liaising with brokers, claims vendors, and adjusters to facilitate efficient claims processing. This position is vital for maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organisation’s regional claims and finance functions.
Role Overview:
This position supports the wider claims and finance team, ensuring accurate financial management, claims processing, and regulatory compliance, contributing to the company’s regional growth and operational excellence.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in claims, operations, or finance within the insurance industry
• University degree (or equivalent), ideally with overseas exposure
• Fluent in English; Mandarin and/or Cantonese preferred
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple stakeholders and deadlines
• Innovative mindset focused on process improvement and solutions
• Effective communicator, able to handle challenging negotiations and discussions
• Proficient with insurance systems, accounting platforms, and data tools
• Strong financial knowledge, including insurance accounting, reserves, and bordereaux processes
• Experience working with TPAs, adjusters, investigators, and vendors
• Analytical skills to identify claims trends and emerging issues
• High attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multicultural team
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily financial operations, ensuring compliance with delegated authorities and regulations
• Support production, validation, and reconciliation of premium, claims, and commission bordereaux
• Oversee cash allocations and insurer remittances
• Support regulatory reporting and manage accounts payable/receivable for brokers, coverholders, and providers
• Ensure accurate monthly financial close, including revenue recognition and reserves
• Handle end-to-end claims processes, validating coverage, liaising with stakeholders, and managing reserves
• Oversee claims data accuracy, analyse trends, and support claims automation initiatives
• Ensure compliance with Lloyd’s standards and local regulations
• Contribute to process improvements, automation, and digital workflow enhancements
Requirements:
• Right to work in Hong Kong and on-site availability
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in insurance claims, finance, or operations
• University degree or equivalent; overseas exposure preferred
• Fluent in English; Mandarin and/or Cantonese preferred
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with on-site presence as needed
