Role Overview:
The purpose of this role is to lead the design, development, and optimization of high-performance trading systems, guiding strategic technical decisions and expanding trading technology capabilities across regions. You will collaborate with global engineering teams to foster technical excellence and deliver scalable, reliable solutions that meet business needs.
Key Skills & Experience:
• HW C++ expertise
• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 10+ years working on trading systems
• Proficiency in C++ (C++14/17/20)
• Extensive experience developing ultra-low-latency systems
• Building and scaling engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and developing senior engineers
• Knowledge of low-latency optimization techniques
• Experience with exchange connectivity, FIX protocol, binary exchange protocols, TCP/UDP socket programming, and multicast market data
• Designing and supporting large-scale distributed systems with high availability and automated failover
• Ability to influence technical direction across global teams and stakeholders
• Experience with build systems, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins
• Hands-on experience with Asian exchange protocols
• Understanding of options Greeks, market-making strategies, volatility trading, and derivatives pricing
• Building market data feed handlers and order management systems for high-throughput, latency-sensitive environments
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, development, and performance optimization of ultra-low-latency trading systems in C++ for equity derivatives market-making across APAC exchanges
• Architect and implement exchange connectivity solutions utilizing FIX protocol and native binary protocols for Asian markets
• Build and scale the Singapore engineering team, establishing hiring pipelines and university partnerships
• Define and execute the technology roadmap for trading system expansion and regional technical strategy
• Collaborate with global teams across Hong Kong, New York, and London to deliver cross-regional platform capabilities
• Mentor engineers and promote a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Partner with trading desks, quantitative researchers, and business stakeholders to translate trading requirements into technical solutions
• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, frameworks, and development tools across the organization
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline
• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 10+ years in trading systems
• Expert-level proficiency in C++ (C++14/17/20)
• Experience with ultra-low-latency system development and low-latency optimization techniques
• Hands-on experience with Asian exchange protocols
• Strong knowledge of exchange connectivity, FIX, binary protocols, and socket programming
• Experience supporting large-scale distributed systems with high availability
• Ability to influence global technical direction and stakeholder alignment
• Experience with build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management
