We are seeking a results-oriented and experienced Business Development Broker specialising in Commercial Property & Casualty (P&C). The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through the acquisition of new commercial clients, nurturing existing client relationships, and identifying new market opportunities within the P&C insurance landscape.
The successful candidate will possess strong industry knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of business development within the commercial insurance sector. This role demands a strategic thinker who can develop effective marketing initiatives and provide customised risk solutions tailored to the diverse needs of commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial P&C sector.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and industry stakeholders.
- Negotiate and place risk with suitable insurers to meet client requirements.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
- Stay updated on market trends, product developments, and regulatory changes.
- Work collaboratively with internal underwriting and claims teams to ensure client satisfaction.
- Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business development or broking role within the commercial insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of Commercial P&C insurance products, markets, and underwriting principles.
- Well-developed negotiation, communication, and client management skills.
- Ability to analyse client needs and provide tailored insurance solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and client relationship management tools.
- Possession of relevant insurance qualifications will be advantageous.
- Self-motivated, with strong organisational and time-management abilities.
