AVP/VP - Credit Risk (Singapore)

Role Overview:
This position supports the development and maintenance of credit risk management frameworks, performs rigorous risk assessments, and manages counterparty exposure to ensure the organization’s financial stability. The role plays a key part in promoting a sound risk culture and leading ad-hoc risk projects to enhance overall risk practices.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline
• Relevant experience in Risk Management
• Strong analytical skills for risk modeling and financial analysis
• Solid programming skills for quantitative data analysis
• Proficient in Mandarin and English (oral and written)
• Curious and humble to learn, particularly exploring AI for efficiency improvements
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and review credit risk management frameworks, including policies, procedures, and system infrastructure.
• Perform independent review and challenge of risk, including client due diligence, credit rating assessment, and setting credit limits and margins.
• Respond swiftly to high-impact market events to mitigate losses and conduct client credit portfolio stress testing.
• Oversee collateral management processes, including margin calls, disputes, and collateral eligibility.
• Manage limit breaches by investigating causes and collaborating with the Front Office for remediation.
• Maintain and promote a sound enterprise risk management framework within the local entity.
• Lead ad-hoc risk projects to improve risk practices and controls.
Requirements:

• Must have an advanced degree in relevant fields.
• FRM or CFA qualification is preferred.
• Proven experience in risk management roles.
• Strong analytical and programming skills.
• Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and English.
