Assistant Manager - New Business (KYC)

The role involves overseeing the end-to-end processing of new business transactions, including application creation, underwriting follow-ups, correspondence, receipts, and policy issuance. It plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and service turnaround times, supporting the company’s commitment to secure and efficient client onboarding.

Role Overview:

This position is responsible for managing the full spectrum of new business processing activities within the team. The assistant manager provides guidance, quality control, and support to ensure operational tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and compliance standards. The role also involves supporting system enhancements, training, and deputy leadership to maintain high service levels.

Key Skills & Experience:

• At least 8 years’ solid insurance processing experience, preferably in the High Net Worth Insurance Sector

• Familiar with insurance policies, including term and Indexed Universal life

• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Good interpersonal skills and a team player

• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and under pressure

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end processing of new business transactions, including creation, follow-ups, correspondence, receipts, and policy issuance

• Ensure cases are assessed in line with company policies and service turnaround time

• Review correspondence such as offer letters, policy contracts, and special communications when required

• Maintain strict adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, including KYC / AML and Due Diligence Review standards

• Conduct regular quality checks, identify operational risks, control gaps, and compliance issues

• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members; review work quality and offer feedback

• Assist in onboarding, training, and knowledge sharing within the team

• Provide deputy coverage for the Team Lead when necessary

• Support new product launches, system enhancements, and process changes, including UAT

• Perform any other work or projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree holder

• Minimum 8 years’ insurance processing experience, preferably in High Net Worth Insurance

• Familiarity with insurance policies, particularly term and Indexed Universal life

• Must be proficient in MS Office applications

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and handle pressure
