Tech Risk Manager
The Tech Risk Manager oversees the assessment and management of technology and AI-related risks within a professional services environment. This role supports responsible technology adoption by ensuring governance, compliance, and risk controls are effectively implemented across all service lines. The position involves collaborating with stakeholders across various teams to strengthen the firm's technology risk management framework.

Role Overview
The Tech Risk Manager leads and facilitates Technology Risk Assessments, including scoping, risk identification, control evaluation, and providing clear recommendations for risk remediation or acceptance. They support the development and enhancement of risk management processes, especially around AI governance, and contribute to the creation of policies, standards, and templates. The role involves assessing risks related to AI, Generative AI, and emerging technologies, including leading reviews of AI-enabled solutions. Preparing risk reports, dashboards, and metrics for leadership and governance forums is a key aspect, alongside analysing risk trends to drive improvements.
Key Skills & Experience
- Lead and facilitate Technology Risk Assessments (TRAs), including risk identification and control evaluation.
- Support the design, implementation, and improvement of technology risk management processes, with a focus on AI governance.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of risk policies, standards, and guidance materials.
- Assess risks associated with Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and emerging technologies.
- Lead or support risk reviews of AI-enabled solutions, covering use cases, data handling, model limitations, and monitoring.
- Contribute to AI governance processes, translating principles and regulations into practical review and monitoring requirements.
- Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and metrics for leadership and governance forums.
- Analyse risk trends and identify opportunities to improve risk management practices.
- Support automation and streamlining of risk assessment and reporting processes.
- Assist with special projects, regulatory reviews, and firm-wide risk initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in technology risk management, AI governance, IT risk, information security, or related fields.
- Working knowledge of AI and modern technology, including development, deployment, and associated risks.
- Knowledge of responsible AI principles and recognised frameworks, standards, and regulatory developments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative mindset, and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
