IT Infrastructure Recruitment

Secure systems need trusted people.

Infrastructure and security professionals keep the platforms behind trading, payments and client service available, protected and ready to scale. With the right people in place, cloud migrations progress alongside live operations, controls stand up to audit and supervisory review, and incidents are contained before clients feel them. The result is a technology foundation your leadership team can build strategy on with confidence.

We specialise in infrastructure recruitment across Singapore’s financial services and hedge fund sector.

IT Infrastructure recruitment in financial services

Our consultants each specialise in one area of the infrastructure market rather than working across every technology discipline. In infrastructure, that means keeping our market knowledge current every day. We track how AWS, Azure, Kubernetes and zero-trust architectures are reshaping teams, how new roles like platform engineers and cloud security architects are defined, and how pay is moving. As a result, every brief starts from a shared understanding and up-to-date market intelligence.

For appointments such as Head of Infrastructure, CISO or CTO, our executive search extends to senior leaders. At that level, influence with the board, regulators and regional colleagues matters as much as technical background.

The strongest infrastructure hires add value beyond their job description, so we look at the whole picture. Technical capability is the foundation, whether that’s hybrid cloud, network design, identity and access management or database performance. Alongside it sit the qualities that matter when someone holds privileged access to critical systems:

  • Discretion: handling sensitive systems, data and access with care and sound judgement.
  • Composure: staying clear and methodical when an incident affects live trading or client services.
  • Clarity: explaining technical risk in terms that risk, audit and business stakeholders can act on.

Every candidate is screened by a consultant who knows this market. That screening looks beyond job titles and certifications to what each person has built, secured and supported.

We recruit across infrastructure, security and service management in financial services:

  • Architecture & Strategy: enterprise, solutions and infrastructure architects who align technology roadmaps with business and regulatory priorities.
  • Cloud, Infrastructure & IT: cloud, DevOps, platform and systems engineers who build and run hybrid environments.
  • Cyber & Information Security: security operations, GRC, identity and access, and penetration testing specialists who protect systems, data and clients.
  • Database: DBAs and database engineers who keep transaction and market data platforms performing and recoverable.
  • Desktop/Helpdesk: end user computing, workplace and trading-floor support specialists who keep front-office and operations teams productive.
  • IT Audit: IT auditors and technology risk professionals who give leadership independent assurance over controls.
  • IT Service Management: incident, problem, change and service delivery managers who keep services stable and measurable.
  • Networking: network architects and engineers who design and support secure connectivity across offices, data centres and cloud.

Building infrastructure capability in-house, whether at a global bank’s regional hub or a hedge fund growing its Singapore presence, means looking beyond the individual role. We look at how the hire fits your global operating model, who it reports to across time zones and how it works with teams elsewhere. We’ll also help you balance permanent hires that build lasting capability with contract specialists who can support a migration or remediation programme, keeping live operations covered throughout.

Professional services firms resourcing financial services clients need specialists who can start delivering quickly and are comfortable with client vetting and security requirements. We work to tight start dates. Where an overseas hire is the right answer, we build Employment Pass eligibility into the timeline from the first conversation.

Permanent, contract and executive search are all available, and our permanent and contract hiring pages explain how each works.

We support organisations where infrastructure carries financial, regulatory and reputational weight:

  • Global banks: regional hubs running core banking, payments and markets infrastructure across Asia-Pacific.
  • Hedge funds: trading environments where secure, resilient infrastructure supports investment teams across markets and time zones.
  • Global insurers: regional operations modernising data centres, cloud platforms and security controls.
  • Fintech teams within financial institutions: digital teams inside banks and investment firms, building new platforms within established control frameworks.
  • Multinational corporations: FMCG and consumer goods and professional services firms whose Singapore teams support regional workplace technology, security and service management.

Infrastructure hires in financial services can hold privileged access to systems that markets, clients and regulators depend on, so a good match keeps paying off long after the start date. Before anyone reaches your interview stage, our consultants explore what candidates have run, secured and recovered, including how they have handled incidents, audits and change on live platforms.

We share current salary insight, realistic availability and how comparable profiles are moving across Singapore and the wider region, so your plans rest on shared information. Our network of 900,000+ candidates includes infrastructure and security professionals who are open to the right move but aren’t visible on job boards. We also understand how global banks, hedge funds, insurers and multinational corporations differ in infrastructure maturity and operating model, and that context informs every stage, from brief to offer.

IT infrastructure market intelligence

Certifications such as AWS, Azure, CKA, CCNP, CISSP, CISA, ITIL 4 and TOGAF give your team a familiar baseline. Our consultants go further, exploring how candidates have applied them in a financial services environment.

That might be a cloud migration delivered within a regulated change process, security work aligned to MAS technology risk and cyber hygiene expectations, or trading connectivity where every second of downtime counts. We also look at hands-on experience with Terraform, ServiceNow, SIEM and endpoint platforms, so your shortlist reflects what candidates can deliver from day one.

Infrastructure pay in Singapore’s financial sector rises with specialism and proximity to risk. Architecture and cyber security sit at the upper end of the market. Cloud and infrastructure engineering follows closely behind, while database, networking, IT audit and service management roles sit in a tighter band.

As a guide, annual salaries for professionals with four to eight years’ experience are:

  • Architecture & Strategy: SGD 150,000 to 230,000.
  • Cyber & Information Security: SGD 135,000 to 205,000.
  • Cloud, Infrastructure & IT: SGD 120,000 to 180,000.
  • Database & Networking: SGD 100,000 to 155,000.
  • IT Audit & IT Service Management: SGD 95,000 to 150,000.

Contract roles may be quoted as monthly or daily rates, so they don’t compare directly with an annual salary. For tailored benchmarking by role, seniority and firm type, visit our benchmarking page.

AI is bringing infrastructure and security teams into the centre of AI governance. Every model a firm runs depends on compute, access controls, logging and resilience, and those sit with infrastructure. The MAS Guidelines on Artificial Intelligence Risk Management set out expectations for how financial institutions identify, inventory and control their AI use, along with the people and technology capacity to do it safely. They take effect from October 2027.

That shifts what some firms look for. Cloud and platform engineers who can run AI workloads securely are part of it. So are security specialists who understand how models and agents are accessed and monitored, and architects who can design for traceability from the start. The Personal Data Protection Act continues to apply to any personal data those systems handle.

When you’re interviewing, it can help to ask candidates how they have secured AI workloads, controlled access to models or tracked AI tools across an estate.

Some infrastructure and security specialisms draw on talent from across the region. For those roles, Singapore’s work pass framework becomes part of hiring planning. Employment Pass candidates need to meet a qualifying salary, set higher for financial services, and pass COMPASS, the points-based assessment framework. Qualifying salaries are set to rise for new applications from January 2027.

Our consultants build these considerations into timelines from the start. That helps you weigh local and overseas candidates side by side and plan start dates realistically.
