Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst - Insurance

As we expand our finance team, we are seeking a talented and experienced FP&A Analyst to join us in optimizing financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making.
Position Overview: The FP&A Analyst will play a critical role in providing financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting support to various stakeholders within the organization. This position requires a highly analytical individual with a deep understanding of financial principles, as well as a minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A roles, preferably within the insurance industry. Additionally, experience with MI (Management Information) reporting is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning processes.
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) tracking.
3. Collaborate with business units and functional teams to gather data, provide insights, and support decision-making processes.
4. Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling to evaluate business performance, assess risks and opportunities, and recommend actionable strategies.
5. Assist in the development of annual operating budgets, including revenue projections, expense budgets, and capital expenditure plans.
6. Support the development and implementation of financial systems and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
7. Prepare presentations and materials for senior management and board meetings, providing insights into financial performance and strategic initiatives.
8. Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to ensure alignment of financial plans and strategies with market dynamics.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A roles, with a strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
* Experience working in the insurance industry and familiarity with insurance products, operations, and regulatory requirements.
* Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, etc.).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
