Technical Accountant

Overview

My client is the biggest global reinsurers, and they are looking for an ambitious and detailed oriented professional to join their expanding accounting team. They are looking to grow their team in Singapore and is looking for someone who is looking to grow their experience and portfolio.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Checking and posting reinsurance statements of account for reinsurance business

* Independently handling (cross-line) claims from our treaty and facultative business

* Checking and posting reinstatement premiums

* Coordinating and handling broker business

* Performing credit control activities

* Administering payment transactions (incoming and outgoing, including compliance with any financial sanctions, AML/CFT requirements) and current account management

* Examine data sets to find trends and draw conclusions about the information they contain

Role Requirements

* 3 years + of accounting experience within insurance or Reinsurance

* knowledge of primary insurance and reinsurance

* Knowledge of the principles of accounting

* Comfortable in MS Excel and good IT skill

* Professional working proficiency in English, other foreign languages would be an advantage

* Good communication skills (written and spoken)

* Experience and precision in dealing with figures
