My client is a leading insurer with strong international presence looking for an inspired and collaborative IFRS17 Finance Manager to create lasting impact in the IFRS17 Project team and manage return to BAU reporting activities. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage on existing IFRS17 knowledge to build project management expertise.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Be an IFRS17 Subject Matter Expert in driving and supporting IFRS 17 implementation for Finance, supporting the identification of IFRS 17 implications across finance functions, technical implementation, disclosure assessment, reporting infrastructure design
  • Support Change Delivery teams in implementing systems performance and enhancements relating to finance
  • Collaborate closely with programme managers and other work-package teams to deliver the optimal solution of end-to-end financial reporting process and financial control framework under IFRS 17
  • Leverage on strong Finance SME knowledge to ensure adequate resourcing to projects
  • Bridge BAU Finance & IFRS17 project team and facilitate seamless transition to BAU mode of all the IFRS17 activities
  • Critical member of Integrated Reporting team, first, during dress rehearsal & later in establishing / facilitating the target operating model

Skills required:

  • Open to individuals working in Big 4 firms with experience in life insurance auditing
  • Expertise in Life Insurance Finance Processes with experience in Insurance Finance required
  • Accounting qualifications (e.g. ACCA, ACA) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders in an international environment
  • Strong sense of risk management and controls
  • Excellent project management skills, team working skills and resource planning skills
  • Demonstrated change management skills with mind-set of continuous improvement
  • Strong business acumen
